Accessibility Policy Statement and Services
The Krewe of Krampus Barbegazi Snoball Fight is committed to providing services, assistance, and support to our members and supporters with disabilities, to the best of our ability and within our budget limitations.
Venue Accessibility
There is an accessible entrance on the east side of the building, which is to the right of the main entrance stairs. There is a door to the ramp, which will be open with signage. All resource tables and snoball teams are located inside on the first floor, while kids games and vendors will be outside in the courtyard. The venue does not have accessible toilets with grab bars, but sinks are accessible. However, we will be providing a toilet safety rail frame for one of the unisex toilets (300 lb. limit). That bathroom will be identified with a sign.
The outside courtyard area is covered with level grass and has a cement sidewalk on one side.
Accessible Parking
The venue does not have any dedicated accessible parking spots as it is all street parking. However, we will have a designated passenger drop off area in front of the venue.
Accessible Route Finders
For accessibility information on getting around New Orleans, we recommend utilizing the RTA Map for bus and streetcar routes and the Roll Mobility app.
Captioning
We are planning to use live captioning for any spoken aspect of our event.
Sensory Bags and Calming Room
Our sensory bags are provided free of charge to support guests with sensory sensitivities, including individuals with autism, PTSD, ADHD, or anxiety. They can be checked out at the One Krewe table. A photo ID or other form of collateral (e.g., car keys) is required to borrow a sensory bag. There is a calming room located on the second floor, but there is no elevator to this space.
Service Animals
As per the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), all service animals are welcome. However, no other animals are permitted for the safety of all event attendees, including non-ADA service animals.
Mobility Scooter / Wheelchair Rental
We will not have any mobility devices available to rent at our event, so we recommend you contact mobility companies directly for rentals.
